No Rush: a calm messenger I am building on the side
I have another project. It is called No Rush. A slow, encrypted messenger. The site is at norush.chat. You can install the prototype to your home screen from app.norush.chat and try it. Free. The code goes open.
The point
No push notifications. No badge. No green dot. No read receipts. No typing indicators. None of the small levers that turn a friendly thing into a debt.
Most of building it has been removing these one at a time, on purpose, and engineering the architecture so they cannot quietly come back.
Take it for a spin
Open app.norush.chat on your phone, register, send a friend the install link, write each other something. Nothing will buzz. The conversation will sit there until one of you decides to open it. The only way to feel it is to use it for a few days.
Free, no ads, no subscription. The code is going up under an open licence. Feedback is welcome in the comments or by email.
